From my initial discussion with Elizabeth, Dr Leech's private secretary, to the nursing staff at KIMS, the initial assessment with Dr Leech and the procedure itself to fit the portacath, I felt reassured, calm and that I was in good hands. Dr Leech explained the procedure in detail and was very reassuring from the outset The operation went exactly as planned with me conscious but sedated as prescribed ( if that makes sense) in perhaps no more than 30 minutes or so. I must say I wasn’t enthusiastic about the procedure but it went without a hitch and exactly as planned so nothing but high praise indeed. John Lawrence

Just so caring and explains everything in detail. Was completely pain free, did not feel a thing. Was so impressed with how quickly this was all arranged and also received a call morning after procedure from the wonderful Elizabeth checking how I was feeling.
